Happy Father's Day, Dad!

We celebrated Father's Day for my Dad on Sunday because the schedules worked better for everyone. It was so much fun to spend time with him. He is always a hoot to be around and always the life of the party. Thanks Dad for being such a wonderful example to all of us. We love you! Happy Father's Day!

Eric's Birthday and Pictures with Ashley

On Sunday, we celebrated my brother-in-law Eric's 36th birthday. Happy Birthday Eric! And then all of the cousins got to meet Ashley for the first time. Here are pictures of Katelyn, Emilee, Lauryn, and Grandpa holding her. She's such an adorable and sweet baby!

Buddy Holly at Broadway Palm

Dad took us all to the Broadway Palm Theater to see Buddy Holly in celebration of Mom's Birthday. It almost didn't happen because the original date of our tickets were in mid-May and Mom and Dad's plane was delayed when they were coming home from Costa Rica. Since they were going to miss the play, we called the theater to see if we could raincheck the tickets and they let us choose another day to go and see the play once Mom and Dad got home. We were so glad that we rainchecked them so Mom and Dad could see the musical. It was such a great production and so well done. It was a very fun time and Mom and Dad enjoyed it so much, they bought another set of tickets to go and see it again the final night it was showing! Go Buddy Holly! Then after the play we ate Krispy Kreme Donuts in the parking lot, thanks to Mike T. It was such a fun night. Thanks Dad for a really great and memorable time.

Tanya and Mom's Birthday Lunch

We took Mom and Tanya out for their May birthdays. We ate at TGI Fridays and enjoyed their food and their desserts. It was a great time and a fun tradition that we do for birthdays! Happy Birthday Girls!

Scrapbook kit exchange: May

I'm in this scrapbook kit exchange group and we swap kits every few months. Basically, I come up with one 2-page layout idea. Then I duplicate the kit to create 9 kits. And then I get 8 kits in return. It's so much fun, I love it. This was my latest kit called "Lovely".

Stake Pioneer Trek

Mike helped to plan our Stake Pioneer Trek. They went from June 4th through June 7th. It was such a great experience for everyone that went and they all came back with some great stories. These are just a few of the pictures from the trek. Mike loved every minute of it and says he will go back and trek again anytime.

Mike was able to ride on a horse for the first couple days, which he absolutely loved. And then he was also in charge of the Mormon Battalion experience which was very emotional for everyone. But he got to dress up in an official uniform and look so official. The bottom two pictures are of Mike with the Stake YM Presidency. They were the group responsible for putting all of this together. They have been planning the trek for over a year and they all had a great time and worked very well together.

Lunch with the Jensens

The day following Nana's funeral, we met the Jensen family at Costa Vita in Mesa for lunch. It was alot of fun to be able to sit and enjoy each other's company and catch up with each other's lives. Everyone had to go back home the following day so it was fun to have this quick moment with everyone. Candace? Where were you when this picture was being taken? We missed you.
Big shout out to Shelly, who is one of Julie's long time best friends and a friend of ours as well. It was great to see you and your darling sweetheart!

May 26:Memorial Day BBQ

Our friends Jim and Jody Muller invited us over to their beautiful house for a fun swim party and BBQ for Memorial Day. It was so much fun! They have the neatest pool in their backyard with a huge rock area where the kids love to climb up and jump off the rocks. They have some caves underneath the rocks to swim in. And then Jim loves to BBQ to top things off. So he made this delicious grilled carne asada and we ate a mexican fiesta. It was so much fun and a great way to celebrate the holiday. Thanks guys, it was a blast!

Rob-a-Colada

Brynlyn loved drinking the non-alcoholic "Rob-a-coladas" from the margarita glass. She thought it was great fun and insisted on doing it herself. I know she loved the straight sugar from this drink. Yum!!!

Introducing...new baby Ashley Bentley!

Yea...I'm an Aunt...again. Ashley Pauline Bentley was born today, June 3rd, 2008. She weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. Great stock in these Bentley babies. She was ALMOST named Higley instead of Ashley because she was almost born on Higley Road. Tanya and Bryce made it to the hospital and she was born 10 minutes later with only 2 pushes. To hear them tell this story is so funny. I can't believe they even beat Katelyn's record of 20 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Tanya is now a seasoned Mother and has experienced childbirth without anything. She can now birth in the rice fields. ha ha

Ashley is so pretty and Ashlyn immediately said, "She doesn't even look like a newborn because she doesn't have a scrunchy face!" ha ha And Tanya, YOU look gorgeous girl.

The name Ashley fits her to a "T" and her middle name Pauline is named after her great-grandma Pauline, Bryce's grandma. So sweet!

Congrats Tanya, Bryce, Emilee, Alli (or Allison, whichever it is today (hee hee) and Karter!!! We are so excited for you guys and we're thrilled to have a new cousin to play with.
