June 29: Impromptu Birthday Party

Grandma and Grandpa Sugar are so sweet! They knew we weren't having a birthday celebration for Brynlyn on her actual birthday because of several family parties later on in July. But they couldn't stand not coming and wishing her a happy day. They showed up wearing pink PICU visitor name tags that Grandpa collected while Brynlyn lived in the hospital for those few months. In fact, he still has several of these name tags posted on his wall in his office as a reminder to him of Brynlyn. They brought Bryn and the girls a plate of yummy cupcakes which was quickly devoured by the older girls. Brynlyn did take a few licks, but wasn't too interested. Eating Food in normal amounts is our biggest goal for this child right now! They gave her a darling outfit and a cute little duck that quacks when you feed it. Brynlyn loves this duck and she carries it around and feeds it with the bottle and giggles when it quacks back at her. Thanks for making Brynlyn's night, Grandma and Grandpa Sugar! We love you guys!
