We have a fun tradition to take each other out for lunch on our birthdays. My girls had a mandatory dance rehearsal so they missed this party. This was Grandma Sugar's and Tanya's birthdays, so they chose to go to Cafe Rio for lunch (yumm...) and then we walked over to McDonald's to get ice cream and entertain the kiddos for a while, but they ran out of ice cream! Have you ever heard of that in your life??? Oh well, we continued our party anyway. Connie surprised all of us and picked up Grandma Ann at her house on the way in and she came to lunch with us. What a treat! It was so much fun!

I love this picture! Brynlyn loves Grandma Ann. And as a child growing up, so did I. There was no other place I wanted to go than over to Grandma's house. I'm glad that my girls feel the same way about their grandma and great-grandma.

I think Grandma Ann was my primary teacher when I was a kid. Was she ever in 22nd ward?
