For the holiday weekend, we went to Pinetop and stayed at the Posvar's family's cabin. We tubed at a cinder pit. Mike, Marlin and Chris spent the entire time helping 2 cars dig themselves out of the mud after they drove down into the pit. Duh! The kids tubed and played in the snow and had a great time. There was so much snow and it kept the kids quite busy. Ashlyn's good friend Makenna lives in Lakeside so she came over and spent the day with us. We have missed her so much since she has moved, so we loved spending that time with her. She's such a great friend.

We also celebrated Valentine's Day there, so the kids all received a special Valentine that morning.

Thanks Posvars for another great weekend!

Ashlyn's latest and greatest

Scenes from the school Talent Show where the girls performed. They did such a great job.

Ashlyn's friends choreographed a dance number to Taylor Swift's "You Belong with Me." Of course this entailed lots and lots of "rehearsals" which inevitably turned into play time. These are some of Ashlyn's very best friends.

Ashlyn was assigned a project for the History Fair at school. She was to design and build a 2x2 model of The Great Wall of China. She used playdoh, "rock-colored" spray paint, cheese-its, and green colored-dyed coconut for the grass. She worked hard on her project and was so proud of herself. She ended up placing "2nd Place for Most Creative." Way to go Ashlyn!
