Girls Camp - June

So now I am feeling old....I had 2 daughters go to Girls Camp this summer.  Yikes!  I remember going to girls camp.  It's amazing how quickly life is cruising by and how quickly my children are growing up and doing things that I feel like I did, but not so very long ago.

I'm sending my girlies off to a great year at girls camp...

Big Surf, Tempe

So do you guys remember the good ol days of hanging out at Big Surf in Tempe???  Well guess what, we went there alot this summer.  We ended up buying the season pass for a bargain and had so much fun.  We tried to go atleast once a week and the girls just loved every minute of it.  Here are a few of our favorite memories:  Long Live Big Surf and their wonderful 80's music!!!

June 2012 events

June was another busy month for us.  Here are some of the things that went on in June:

Grandpa Sugar would come over several times a week to help the girls in math.  He had a special "tutor" session to help keep their math skills during summer.  Thanks Grandpa!  This helped out so much.  We sure love ya!

This was the picture the girl did for Mike for Father's Day.  We painted on the bottom of their feet "We (heart) U Dad!  My oh my, my girls have ticklish feet!  It made for some tricky painting.

Some dear friends in my ward threw a baby shower for me.  It had been 14 years since my last shower with Ashlyn, so this was alot of fun and it was a family affair.  Mike and the girls came with me and loved every minute of it.  I was literally "showered" with so many wonderful gifts by many wonderful friends and family.  It was a blast!

Brynlyn's 6th Birthday!  She was certainly the star of the show at a birthday party hosted by Granda and Papa.

Ashlyn and Camryn: Roomies at EFY Flagstaff!

Uncle Bill and Aunt Patty helping the girls assemble their bird houses at the Home Depot workshop.  We were there celebrating Dallin's 2 year old birthday.  Happy Birthday, cute boy!

Ashlyn leaving on the Stake Pioneer Trek.  She said she loved it all, but it was for sure one of the hardest things she had ever done.  Great experiences for all...

Oh how we love Miss Jenee!!!  Thanks for another great summer camp,  my friend!  How do you even top this one?  It was fabulous.

Ashlyn's 8th grade graduation events

In May, Ashlyn graduated from 8th grade.  She was so sad to leave Franklin because many of her friends are all splitting up to go to several different high schools.  They had one last hoorah party at Disneyland with the entire 8th grade as their 8th grade grand finale.

Her graduation picture.  Looking like she's graduating from high school! Oh my she looks so grown up!

After graduation that night, the kids met back up at the school at 11:00pm to board the buses to head to Disneyland for a day!  Girls on one bus, boys on the other bus.  Party on!

The 8th grade graduation ceremony was held at Queen Creek Performing Arts Center.  It was really well done and so much fun.  Afterwards, the kids all gathered for a huge paparrazzi photo session.

This is a great picture because these are all of Ashlyn's teachers in 8th grade from each of her subjects, as well as the principal, Mr. Lee.  She was thrilled to get all of her teachers in one picture.
