Brynlyn's cast is off!!!

Yeah! I'm happy to report that on Monday, Brynlyn got her cast taken off! Wahoo! The only bummer is that her leg still isn't fully healed, but they said it wasn't hurt enough to re-cast her. SO...she still can't walk on it and she still crawls on it wherever she goes. And they say she probably will for atleast this week. Then next week she might try standing on it slowly, and possibly walking on it after about 2 weeks. It makes me nervous to not have it protected with the cast, but she was able to go swimming today AND take a bath and both of those things were so lovely for her (and for me)! She loved it so much that I couldn't get her out of the swimming pool in the daytime and couldn't get her out of the bathtub at nighttime! ha ha

This is great progress for her and we know the end of this ordeal is in sight.

So this is what her leg looks like?! I had forgotten. Poor scrawny little leg. Her knees are so hammered from crawling on our tile. Ouch!

Getting the cast cut off. I really think she thought we were cutting off her leg because she was screaming!!! It didn't hurt to have it cut off, but the saw was so loud and Brynlyn despises loud noises! Mike did a good job trying to soothe her during this process so I could get the photo moment.
