Canyon Lake Trip, almost!

So we decided to head out to Canyon Lake one day. It was a beautiful, hot and clear day. This would be a great day at the lake.

When we arrived at the lake, there was a monsoon storm that was brewing at the time. In fact, we still launched the boat, but as soon as we did the lightening started and the wind and rain really kicked in (and started pouring down). Not such a great day at the lake, afterall. We were all bummed and didn't want to go home, but we didn't want to risk braving the storm either.

I snapped these pics of Ash and her buddies Kendyl and Kamrie, who had come with us. They were all quite disappointed, but we assured them that there would be another lake trip for sure.

Then as we were driving out, we saw these two rainbows in the sky. A promising sign that everything would work out in the end.

So much for our "almost lake trip."

(These pictures look so clear, but it was starting to rain hard while lightening as I was taking these pics. We were all anxious to get back in the car. They were troopers for letting me snap a few pics of these cute girls.)
